“Lehigh Valley” Racism
The latest version of the “Lehigh Valley,” created by the federal Office of Management and Budget (OM&B) on June 6, 2003, is racist - if not in intent, certainly in effect - as documented in the article by business reporter Gregory Karp in the June 22, 2003, edition of The Morning Call, one of two major mainsream newspapers in the so-called “Lehigh Valley.”
The Billybytes publications urge readers to obtain a copy of this astonishing article -astonishing even to veteran reporter Karp - to see how the OM&B, by manipulating statistical data from the year 2000 national census, has attacked minorities in urban centers like Newark, New Jersey, under the radar.
Karp opens his astonishing article with the question, “When is the Lehigh Valley not just the Lehgh Valley anymore?,” followed by the answer to his own question, “When the federal government says so.”
This racist policy was later exposed in the “Lehigh Valley’s” other mainstream newspaper, The Express-Times, by reporter Anthony Salamone, in an article titled “Panel Preaches Regional Economic Collabaration Collaboration,” published in the paper’s June 21, 2005, edition.

As Gregory Karp reports, Warren County, New Jersey, was included in the “Lehigh Valley” MSA because it is “younger, better educated, and more ‘lily-white’ (the last of these attributes being my own, not Karp’s) than Newark’s population, explaining why Newark was booted out of the “Lehigh Valley” MSA.
Institutions like Easton Hospital, whose CEO Cornelio Catena is leaving for a better position with Community Health Systems headquarters in Brentwood, Tenn., will be receiving more federal medicAid and MediCare grant money and Newark’s institutions less.
The “Lehigh Valley” doesn’t like senior citizens. It lawyer-judges and lawyer-guardians bribe doctors to declare senior mentally incompetent and shoved into warehouses for the elderly, like the assisted-living facilities of Abraham Atiyeh.
