The Morning Call staffer Tracy Jordan writes in the July 24, 2007, edition of her publication that the Federal Transit Administration has “ordered a review for Riverwalk.”

She quotes the chairman of the Easton Parking Authority, Lou “Mr. Easton” Ferrone, as saying  “The authority will proceed with it construction plans. It will be up to LANTA [Lehigh and Northampton Transit Authority] to satisfy the Federal Transit Administration’s requirements for an environmental assessment.”

The Washington Post reorts that “Newt Gingrich’s new organization [Winning the Future] recently received a $ 1 million check from Las Vegas Sands Corp. chairman Sheldon G. Adelson,” according to the January 23, 2007 edition of Right Wing Watch.

I have been informed by my friend Ron Shegda of Hellertown, Pennsylvania, that Newt Gingrich, now a Georgia resident but a native Pennsylvanian, is scheduled to speak at Lehigh University’s Stabler Arena on July 19, 2007.
