They Stole the Cheese in the Middle of the Night and Ran
A change in design allegedly led to the collapse of the 10-story high Tropicano Casino and Resort parking garage in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on October 31, 2003, according to an article by reporter Eric Lipton published in The New York Times edition of April 25, 2004.
When you try to link to this article, you may find that access to it is forbidden. Therefore, the www.billybytes.com/blog/ is quoting the applicable paragraph from the link, as follows:
“The Tropicano Casino and Resort expansion had been promoted as an impetus for a revival of the Atlantic City economy, including not only an expanded casino, but also an entertainment, restaurant and retail complex that is supposed to turn the beach-side resort into a more Las Vegas. The 10-story garage - eight stories of which are parking - is only a footnote of a project that also includes a new 31-story hotel and 220,000 square feet worth of restaurants, stores and live music venues, in a Havana-inspired complex that is to be called The Quarter.”
The www.billybytes.com/blog/ alleges that the Atlantic City, New Jersey “The Quarter” precisely fits the description o the Sands BethWorks Gaming LLC Casino and Hotel Resort complex currently planned for the South Side neighborhood of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on the site of the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation - and that this fit is not a coincidence (italics added).
Both projects - the Tropicano and BethWorks - are the scheme of Pennsylvania’s Governor Edward G. Rendell and the commonwealth’s legislature.
The www.billybytes.com/blog/ further alleges that these two governmental entities hatched their scheme on July 1, 2004, over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in the cover of night for the very purpose of deceiving an unsuspecting public.
As reported in articles publshed on the www.billybytes.com Website and widely referred to by Google and fellow bloggers on the Internet, Sands BethWorks Gaming LLC and Northampton County, Pennsylvania, officials in the middle of the night stole the cheese and ran.”
