Gambling Fraud

As reported in today’s edition of The New York Times, the U.S. Department of the Interior is being sued for allegedly impeding audits for oil leases in he Gulf of Mexico, including waters off the coast of Alabama, my home state.

I have reported extensively on Department of Interior corruption, which has led to the forced resignation of former DOI Secretary Gale Norton.

The DOI’s Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has been involved in Native American casino-gambling corrupion as deep as the waters of the gulf bordering Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, and involving “Casino” Jack Abramoff.

Abramoff’s corrupion of officials like U.S. Congressman Robert Ney of Ohio is one big reason for Congress’s dismally low approval by Americans, also reported in today’s edition of the NYTs.

Native American-related casino gambling has also corrupted 15th Congressional District Representative Charlie Dent.  He has introduced a bill in Congress that would poscribe the ownership and operation of off-reservation casinos by Native American people like the Delawares of Oklahoma, on behalf of the Binney & Smith Crayola Crayon Corporation headquartered in his district’s Forks Township on land the Delawares claim in federal court was stolen from them through trickerty and forgery in the notorious Walking Purchase of 1737.
