The Political Persecution against the Person of Billy Givens
Please refer to the article, “Easton groups consider cooperation on Main Street,” published in the July 27, 2006, edition of The Morning Call.
Download this article and see for yourself the evidence of what my blue-blooded neighbors on silk-stocking College Hill are doing to me and all the other voters and taxpayers, not only in Northampton County and its seat Easton, but also in Lehigh County and even Warren and Hunterdon counties and beyond.
These blue-blooded Brahmans are William Lehr (who may no longer reside at the corner of Paxinosa and W. Lafayette streets), Northampton County Council District 2 respresentative including Easton J. Michael Dowd, whom I vow to defeat when he is up for reelection next year), and Pennsylvania’s 136th Legislative District representative Robert Freeman, whom I am working to replace with write-in candidate Ron Shegda of Hellertown Borough.
William Lehr was chairman of the Easton Planning Commission under Mayor Salvadore Panto, Jr., J. Michael Dowd was the president of the Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce, and Robert Freeman was state representative when the persecution of these public and private entities of me and my family first started shortly after our arrival in Eason in 1987.
These entities were joined in the persecution by the public, private, quasi-public/private, and quasi-public/judicial boards, bodies, corporations, etc., notably Lafayette College, the Easton Redevelopment Authority, and the Easton Parking Authority.
Much of the persecution stemmed from my criticism of the county’s and city’s disastrous fiscal, taxing, and zoning policies, or lack thereof.
I conclude with this quote from The Morning Call article:
“‘Dowd, who once headed the Two Rivers Chamber, became the vice president for the Lehigh Valley Chamber’s Easton initiative in May. If the deal goes through, he would take over responsibilities from Taggart, a consultant who has been performing administrative duties at the Easton Area Development Partnership,’ Lehr said.
“‘Her contract with Easton Development partnership expires later on this year,’ Lehr said. ‘Her consulting firm, Taggart Associates, which she runs with her husband, also has a contract with the Easton Redevelopment Authority [read College Hill Brahmans Danny Cohen, Barbara Kowitz, and Richard “Mac” McAteer] to work on the city’s Bushkill Creek Corridor project between N. 13th and N. Third streets [in fact, between N. 13th Street and Larry Holmes Drive since the corridor also includes the proposed Arcadia Properties’ Riverwalk project].’
“The development project,” continues The Morning Call article, “was once known as the Easton Economic Development Corp,” now discredited, disgraced, and dismantled.
“The group underwent a major overhaul in 2004 and 2005 after problems [a euphemism if ever there was one] with the state-funded Weed and Seed program [also discredited and disgraced] it administered.”

Yes, or at least from Taggarts’ law firm, Broughal and DiVito of Bethlehem, PA.
