I just drove by Saint Anthony’s Church behind the Catholic grade school where a funeral was in progress.

The Catholic-owned parking lot at the intersection of Washington and 9th streets was filled with the cars of the funeral-goers.

That parking lot is otherwise empty and available for school and church events like today’s funeral.

By contrast, the Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church parking lot at the corner of Lehigh and 5th streets is filled daily with the cars of Northampton County Government employees.

That is because Saint Bernard’s and the Allentown Catholic Diocese leased the church parking lot to the county administration sans the approval of the county’s governing body, Northampton County Council, in violation of the county’s Home Rule Charter.

The result of this illegal act is that the parking lot is not always available for Saint Bernard Church services, such as funerals and weddings.

Northampton County and the Allentown Catholic Diocese have already demolished the Catholic High School and parish convent on South 6th street for county use, such as the new Domestic Relations building, accomplished in collusion with the City of Easton and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission in Harrisburhg, and its former Executive Director Brent Glass.

Glass was rewarded for his collusion by promotion to a high-level executive position (executive director?) of the Smithsonian Institute including the National Museum of Industrial History Inside-the-Beltway.

From that position Glass has colluded with Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, the PA legislature, Northampton County, the City of Easton, the City of Bethlehem, BethWorks Now, Lehigh Valley Industrial Parks, PP&L, Ashley Development Corporation and its Riverport, Majestic Realty of Los Angeles, the New York City law firm of Fischbein, Badillo, Wagner, and Harding, the New York City Real Estate firm of Newmark & Co., vulture investor Wilbur L. Ross of East Hampton (where he is the neighbor of Richard fischbein), vulture investor Lakshmi Mittal, the world’s 3rd richest man after Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, an Indian national who lives with his family in a palace in London, Starters Pub, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Northampton County’s expansion conquest already includes many of the African-American and Latino residences of S. 6th St. and Saint Anthony Boys Club’s soccer field on Washington St. between S. Union and S. 5th streets.

The county tried to get the estate of the late Gus Militus and is currently negotiating with owners of the apartments in the two buildings at the corner of Washinton and 5th streets for the taking of those properties.

Continuing the destructive process of Northampton County and its seat Easton and the Easton Redevelopment Authority Authority starting with the Urban Renewal of the late 1960s and early 1970s, these two governmental bodies and one quasi-governmental entity intend to destroy what remains of the African-American and Latino Dutchtown-Gallows Hill neighborhood from S. 7th to S. 3rd streets between Washington and Ferry streets.
